Rosconn Appeal for 36 houses

We were notified yesterday by North West Leicestershire District Council that the Planning Inspectorate have overturned their decision (they refused permission to build) and have granted permission for 36 dwellings to be built on the site on Swepstone Road.

Community Speedwatch

In preparation for the next round of Community SpeedWatch in Heather, there will be training provided at the David Taylor Memorial Hall on Thursday 6th July at 7.00pm.

Please be aware that you must have this training if you wish to assist with the SpeedWatch.

Defibrillator

Heather now has its own Active Defibrillator.

It is situated on the Notice Board on Main Street

at the side of the school.

The Parish Council have arranged training in the use of this equipment.

It will be held at the David Taylor Memorial Hall

on Wednesday 14 June at 7.00pm in the small hall.

Rosconn Appeal for 36 houses

We have been notified of the date of the Appeal hearing for 36 houses, application 16/00832/OUT. The date is set for 23 May at 10.00am at Heartwood Conference Centre, Rothley House, Coalville Business Centre, Jackson Street, Coalville, LE67 3NR. Residents are able to attend this hearing. Planning Application for 36 dwellings

We have now been notified that this application, 16/00832/OUTM, by Rosconn has also gone to appeal.

If any resident who has previously send in comments and objections wishes to amend or add to their comments, this must be done by 24 March 2017.

The appeal reference is APP/G2435/W/16/3166865. The appeal is to run concurrent with appeal APP/G2435/W/16/3163161 for the 135 dwellings by Rosconn.

Hanging Baskets

The Parish Council would like to thank the Scarecrow Festival Committee for their most generous donation of £2,200 towards the filling, hanging and maintenance of the Hanging Baskets in the village for the year 2017.

They are always so lovely to see when you walk or drive through and are a real asset to the village which would not happen without a substantial rise in Council Tax if it were not for this amazing gift from the Scarecrow.. Read More »
